NINE Months!

Ahh..9 months!  My little man, you are growing up so fast.  What a month you have had.  You are starting to get brave with the cruising.  I've seen you let go of the furniture and take a couple of steps a couple of times.  It won't be long until you are walking.

You are getting everything!  Your favorite thing to do is get into the kitchen drawers and cabinets.  We let you play with the the tupperware cabinet, but you think there are better cabinets to get into.  You are always trying to get into the cabinets with glass dishes and measuring cups.

You are starting to explore the house and are no longer satisfied with crawling in one room.  You are getting brave and crawling ALL over the house - nothing is off limits to you.

The other day, I was in the kitchen cleaning and you found your way up the stairs into your bothers' room.  You gave me a mini heart attack because I didn't know where you were for a few minutes!

You love playing "catch" with Daddy. You throw a ball to Daddy, he says "good throw" and roll it back to you and you would throw the ball back to him.  It's so CUTE!

You can wave good-bye and hello - although I don't think you know what that means yet.  You can clap you're hands.  Your favorite song is now "Row, Row Your Boat."  We hold hands and rock back and forth when we sing the song.

You are so happy in the mornings. Although, this week has been tough because of teething. You are eating food 3 times a day, but still waking up at night for your bottle - sometimes once, sometimes twice.

In general, you are an easy baby and happy most of the time.  You love playing with Michael and Matthew.  Michael just adores you! He would do anything for you.  Yours brothers do a great job at looking after and they have been such a big help!

I am so amazed at how much you are learning.  I am so blessed to have you in ours lives and I thank God for you and your brothers everyday.  You make our lives so much more interesting!

Poor baby got bit in 8 place on his face a couple of nights ago.  There are 3 bites in a straight line that Matty calls Orion's belt.

I wish this picture wasn't blurry - I love his expression

Things to Remember:

Weight - I lost the sheet that the Dr. gave me when we went in for your check-up, but your are a little over 19 lbs.

Height - Again, from memory (not so good these days), you're about 29 inches

Head - a little over 19 inches

You are healthy and proportional.

Teeth - You have 4 teeth!  There are 2 full bottom teeth and 2 partial top front teeth.  There are 2 more on either side of your bottom center teeth waiting to break out.  I think these are the 2 that your giving you trouble.

Food - Yay! you are eating solid baby food and we are starting to introduce you to table foods.  You want to eat what we eat.  You're a pretty good eater - better than your brothers when they were your age. You are eating:
  • Veggies - squash, green beans, sweet potatoes.  We gave you peas and you HATED it!
  • Fruit - bananas, blueberries, strawberries, mangoes and pears.  Your favorite is probably the blueberries.
  • Meat - Chicken
  • Formula - 2 bottles of about 4-5 oz during the day and 3 bottles of about 6-8 oz each.
We feed you solids 3 times a day.  Typical breakfast is bananas with oatmeal with some blueberries.  Lunch is chicken, veggies, and blueberries, and dinner is pretty much the same as lunch.

Sleep - You are napping 2-3 times a day anywhere from 1-2 hours. One morning nap and 1-2 afternoon naps. We are still holding you for your naps, but we've been putting you in your crib more to ween you. With your teething issues, we haven't been very successful. You're still waking 1-2 during the night for a bottle.  SUCKS!

Clothes size - You're wearing 6-12 months clothes

Diaper size - Still in size 3
