This and That

Summer break is officially here and I am so excited to celebrate summer. We've been swimming grilling, swimming and of course, packing for our Florida trip. It will be our longest road trip that we've ever taken.

Here's what we've been up to since the last day of school. On the first official day of summer vacation, we celebrated with some chocolate chip pancakes fro breakfast.

We've been doing a lot of swimming.

We celebrated Matthew and his teammates' successful Odyssey of the Mind season with a pool party and more swimming.

 Matthew received the "Most Spirited" award from his coaches.

I've just been grilling most of dinners lately because sometimes it's just easier and it gets me outside. This day, we had grilled chicken with some grilled corn. Sweet corn is the best for summer dinners!

Mark has decided to take up painting again.

Today we met up with some friends at a local pool.

So now, off I go to pack! We will drive to New Orleans, stay and play for a couple of days and then we will head on out to Rosemary Beach.
