Still Frozen - School Cancelled

It's been 4 days and we are still very much frozen here in North TX and school is closed again today. It started to look better yesterday and I was able to get out and drive M to the airport, but because we went below freezing last night, the melted ice refroze.

This is a picture from yesterday morning. Still covered in ice!

Anyway, here we are. I'm actually happy to have the boys home.  We may be able to get out later and see Santa Claus. Michael keeps telling me he's too old to take a picture with Santa, but he agreed to do it for me.

The school called yesterday to let parents know school was cancelled but I didn't tell the boys. I made them go to bed at their regular school bedtime.  This morning, I told them they can find out if school is cancelled by watching the morning news where they scroll the the names of districts that are closed.  They sat there for 15 minutes looking for their district.  When it came up, they jumped up and whooped because they were so excited.  It was so cute!

We didn't do much yesterday.  We did get out thad drove M to the airport but that was pretty much it.

Saturday we ventured out and M drove us to Grapevine Mills just to get the kids out of the house.  Most of the stores were closed so we walked around a little and had lunch at the food court. The rest of the day was spent watching a lot of college football. It was Championship Week and there were some really good games on. I'm not a huge football fan, but it's always fun to watch and root for the underdogs - well, except when it comes to Ohio State.  I have to root for them by marriage.

I had to get a picture of this.  Marky thought Santa needed some time on the naughty step. He put him up there and said, "Two minutes."  It was so cute because his tone was exactly like mine when I put him on the naughty step. Haha.

"Cheese!"

Hanging out with the iPad Saturday night while Michael Bo-Bo was at a sleepover.
