Mother's Day Weekend

I had a fabulous Mother's Day weekend! We started off on Friday morning with Muffins with Moms at Matthew's school. I had to work Spirit Shop, but got a quick picture with this cutie. If I'd known there was a photo op, I might have slapped on a little makeup.

Then I went and got my car washed. The dealership has a work station so I can catch up on my blog reading and enjoy a little quiet time while I waited...

On Saturday, Michael and I got up bright and early to help at the RISE Adaptive Sport Summer Bash. This event allows people with disability the opportunity to experience water sports and to encourage them to stay active.

Michael had a great time volunteering with his fellow YMSL members. He even said that it was fun-and these day, those words are rare.

We enjoyed breakfast with a view of the lake while we waited for others to arrive.

These boys encouraged people to join in on a game of wheelchair soccer by demonstrating how to play.

They also helped out on the dock.

On Sunday, we drove out to the lake again and had lunch on the Marina. It was such a beautiful day for lunch on the lake!

Then I got this from Mark. Love that boy!

Weekend

Another weekend in the books and another week closer to summer break for the kiddos! We started our morning off early. Michael had to be at the soccer field for his officiating assignment by 8:45. I over slept and had to rush out, but we made it there on time. Yay!

After his 2 games were done, Michael asked me to drop him off at a park so he can meet up with some friends to play volleyball. I told him he can have a couple of hours because he needed to rest up for his soccer game later that evening.

I decided to take the boys to the same park to play while we waited for Michael to finish up his game.

These two can sometimes be so sweet to each other...

It was so nice Sunday morning, Mark and I had our breakfast out on our patio. Me with my coffee and a good book.

Michael had another soccer game Sunday. Since I was going to be busy with Mark and Matthew, he got a ride from a teammate. My middle and little decided to enjoy the beautiful weather with lunch out on the patio at CM.

Then it was time to play some T-ball. Mark had his last T-ball game of the season and probably his last T-ball game for a while because he told me he was done and that it was "a waste of time." This kid is becoming too much like Matthew. Sigh.

His little teammates and Coaches. It was like herding cats...

He wanted to go play in the water after his game so we did...

He's such a cutie!

Soccer, Baseball and Art in the Square

I got to see Michael play for his school soccer game on Thursday and he played so well. He scored a goal that counted and one that should have counted but didn't. I am just amazed at how much he has grown since last year! He was the smallest kid on the team last year and this year, he is one of the biggest. I hope he continues to grow. He is now a couple of inches taller than me.

There game was at Dragon Stadium this week.

This weekend was my first time working Art in the Square as a member of Southlake Women's Club. It was fun but, I've never been more stressed out about the weather. You spend the whole year planning for a great turn out and when you hear that severe storms are predicted for Saturday? It's a bit nerve-wracking! Fortunately, the weather held out, but turn out was not great because of the anticipation of storms.

My truck was loaded to the brim with student artists' works of art. I am so amazed at the talent of these students.

Getting our Youth Arts booth set up...

Lots of talent on display.

The winners!

More artwork...

This was one of my favorites. It's called Mona Lisa Smile. I'll have to see if this artist will work on a family portrait for me if I give her a photograph.

Mark also had his last regular season soccer game this weekend. He did awesome and scored 2 goals! He also got his medal. They are scheduled to play in the championship tournament later this month.

Michael officiated 3 games this weekend and I got a decent picture of him in action.

Friday night was CISD night at the Rangers game so we went to cheer on our team! This little guy loved the cheering more than the game.

Let's Go Rangers! Clap-clap-clapclapclap!

Around Here Lately...

Just a quick post to catch up! I wore my Bond girl shirt to go vote for a bond that came up for election for our schools. My friend who's on the school board gave this to me and told me to wear it everyday until the voting closes. Couldn't promise her that, but I did wear it to vote!

My littlest guy is officially registered for Kindergarten! We went to his Kindergarten Preview and he walked through the front door all by his own. Insert sad face.

My college friend who will be moving here in the summer flew in to have her little guy attend their Kindergarten Preview too so we met up after for dinner at CM.

This guy was tuckered out and we cuddled a lot that night. So thankful this one still wants to be loved on.

This one thinks he's too cool to cuddle and hates taking pictures so I've resorted to sneaking pictures of him.

Mark had a birthday party to go to last weekend so we went to pick out a gift for his friend. He also picked out a gift for himself. Little stinker!

Birthday party with some T-ball friends!

One of my cousins came to visit us with her family for a couple of days. These two sillies decided to have their own swim party. FYI-it was freezing...

Then we went to the zoo.

Mark wanted to watch Wreck It Ralph so I put it on for him. These two got sucked in too. Love how they still stop to watch "baby" movies...
