New Year Randoms

The boys are going back school tomorrow and we will once again be getting back into a routine.  It's been kind of fun not having to get up early and getting them ready in the morning. And I we got a much needed break from homework and tests.

All our Christmas decorations are down and we are settling into the new year.  Matthew will be getting his first iPhone. He's been asking for it since school started and most of his friends have one so we said that if he got straight As for the first semester, we will get him one.  My little man delivered - barely.  The worst grade he got was in writing (his weak point). He pulled out a 89.7 and the school rounded it up to a 90.

We've also had a nice break from soccer.  No practices for 2 weeks.  I'm guessing we will start up again on Wednesday and then we have a few tournaments before the season picks up again.

We didn't do much this weekend.  Last Friday, I took Mark to a playdate at Jump for Fun and he had a blast running around and going on the slides.  He was super tired afterwards and slept for 3 hours.

Happy New Year!

We spent our NYE at home watching football and hanging out.  The boys had a friend over to spend the night.  We watched the NYC ball drop and the parents went to bed while the boys stayed up. There's no other place I'd rather be.

Happy New Year!

What's better than a hot bowl of wonton soup on a freezing night to celebrate the last day of 2014?

Little man toasted with us with a little sparkling apple cider.

Looking Back - 2014

Pheww....2014 was a very busy year for us. And it was definitely a fun-filled year.

January
We started the year off with going toMark's first birthday party.  He had so much fun celebrating Tristan's birthday - even though he doesn't quite understand what a birthday party is yet.

We also travel to College Station for Michael's soccer tournament.

February
We celebrated Chinese New Year!  The boys love getting red envelopes

And we got snow - lots of it...for Texas, anyway.

We also celebrated Valentine's Day.

March
We took Michael and Matthew to an FC Dallas game against the Seattle Sounders.  Even though our home team lost, it was exciting to see Clint Dempsey get a hat trick!

We celebrated Michael's 11th birthday with a party at Urban Air.

April
We celebrated Easter.

I couldn't chaperone Matthew's 3rd grade field trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo, but we met up with his class and tagged along.  Mark did not get any attention at all ;-)

May
Owen arrived!  Mark loved holding him.

Matthew had his last season of coach-pitch baseball.  It was a great season for him and he hit his first homerun.  What a special moment!

And we celebrated Mother's Day.

The boys' also had their last day of school for the year.

June
We packed up and headed off on our family vacation and also to part of my sister's beach wedding.  So beautiful.

We were in Hawaii for two weeks! We had my whole family there for a week and then stayed another week with just the 5 of us.

July
Michael chipped his tooth diving in a friend's pool so we had to get him to the dentist to get it fixed.

Then we packed up again and headed to San Antonio Hill Country for the 4th of July weekend.  The boys got to bring a friend.

Then Mark and I flew back to California for a wedding and my sister's bridal shower.

Mark was dancing up a storm.

We hosted my sister's bridal shower at a cute little tea house in Capitola.

August
We remodeled all 3 of our bathrooms. It took more than 4 weeks to get everything done.

 The boys started school again.

Then we flew to California to attend my sister's Chinese wedding. The boys love their Gong-Gong's donuts!

My cousins..

September
M and I celebrated our 13th Anniversary.

Matthew started his first season with kid-pitch baseball.
October
This was another very busy month.  Michael has his first band concert.

Mark and I tagged along with Matthew's class on a field trip to the Dallas Aquarium.

Then Matthew had his annual book parade at school.

We celebrated Halloween and Mark fell in love with trick-or-treating.
November
We celebrated Mark's 3rd birthday with a party at Jump For Fun.

M had some work in Las Vegas so we decided to make a little trip out of it.  We left the 2 boys behind stay with the Gs and took Mark with us. My parents met us there and we had a super time!

December
We got ready to celebrate Christmas with a train ride to the North Pole.

Taking our picture with Santa. Older boys declined to be in the picture.

M and I took a trip to NYC without the kiddos.  We had a blast.

What an awesome year.  We are looking forward to what 2015 will bring!
