Friday Favorites

I thought I'd link up to Erika at A Little Bit of Everything blog for her weekly Friday Favorites.  This is a total random list.

One
These little breakfast to go baggies.  Mark calls them "pouches" and they are great for early morning errands or gym classes when we have to be out of the house by 8 in the morning.  I stick it in the microwave for 30 seconds and Mark has his breakfast on the way to where we need to be.  Mark HAS TO have breakfast or else he's a bear the rest of the day.

Two
Making our own pizza.  Since Trader Joe's opened up in our town, we have been making lots of fresh pizza.  I get the their fresh pizza dough, roll it it out, top it with whatever strikes us, stick it in the oven for 25 minutes and dinner or lunch is served!  The best part is that everyone can have their own toppings.

I like pesto, honey goat cheese, tomatoes, prosciutto and fresh arugula on mine.

Three
My favorite time of the day is right after my two older boys get on the bus to go to school and before my #3 wakes up.  Love my boys, but I also love the 30 minutes of quiet time in the morning to drink my coffee and surf the Internet.

Four
Sandal season is here and this is what I will be wearing most of the time from now until it gets cooler in October.  These are my favorite pair.  They go with everything, are cute and so comfy...

Five
And speaking of sandal season, I can't go until I share one of my favorite nail color for my toes.  I usually go bright with my toes and neutral on my fingers. You will see this color on my toes a lot. It's called Seniorita Rosealita, one of my faves.

Soccer and Other Stuff

We had another nice weekend.  M watched the Masters for most of it, but we did get out a little.

Friday evening, I went to the gym to take a Pilates class and was confronted with this mess -
apparently there was a "celebrity" Pilates instructor from U-tube teaching and she was big deal.  I've never heard of her but she has books, a clothing line and has created a new Pilates format called POP Pilates.  The class was intense and would have been great had it not been for the crowd. Seriously, 200 hundred people jammed into a basketball court.

Michael had a soccer game Saturday morning so we got up bright and early. His team won 3-1 and we celebrated by going to lunch.  The rest of the weekend was pretty standard. The boys played with friends-I hardly even saw them this weekend because they were at their friends' houses all day.

A quick selfie on our way to the fields. Michael did not want to participate.

Some lunch time silliness....

I love these boys

On Sunday, Mark and I headed to the gym and then I went to see Cinderella with a friend and her daughter, Nichole.  It was so good. The costumes were so beautiful and I loved the music. Nichole was so sweet and wrote me a "Thank You" note for going to the movies with her.  She's one of my favorite girls ;-).

After the movies, I drove to pick up our dinner at Babe's Chicken Dinner House.  SO good.

I went to the gym early Monday morning.  I usually take Mark with me because he loves going to "Kids' Klub," but he was still asleep so I went on my own.  Good thing too because when I left the gym, there was a torrential downpour!  I was soaked running from the gym my car.  I don't mind that it's going to rain the rest of the week because it's making our neighborhood so pretty!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!  I'm happy to report that we found the owner of the dog we found wandering our street last Sunday.  M put up a poster at the entrance to our neighborhood and the dog's owner saw it on Monday and called us.  So happy that he found his people, but happier that we don't have to keep him.  He was so sweet but I have never wanted a pet and I still don't.  Too much work!

We have had some crazy weather this week.  Sunshine and beautiful one day and thunderstorms the next, but that's North TX for you.

On Monday, I took Michael to his well check-up.  He is super healthy, weighing in at 78 lbs. and is now 4'9.  Another foot, and he'll be taller than me.

He also had to get a couple of shots.  Poor baby.  He did well though, and he got a kick out of the nurse telling him that she's seen 16-year olds who cry when they got shots.  I dropped him off at school after his appointment but not before he convinced me to pick him up some lunch at McDonald's.  Way to stay healthy :-)

Tuesday was one of those beautiful days.  Mark and I had to get our day started early because I had to drop our car off at the dealership to get it looked at - check oil level came on.  It was such a pretty morning so we took advantage and went to have breakfast at Central Market afterwards. Mark got to play a little bit.

Then it was time to meet up with some friends at Casey's Clubhouse for a playdate.

He's telling me "no pictures" here...

I had Spirit Shop on Wednesday so Mark had his weekly visit with the Gs.  He has so much fun there.

On Thursday, we decided to go have lunch with Matthew.  What really happened was we ran out of bread so I couldn't make his lunch.  Oh well. I'm just happy that he's still happy to see me at school. Michael will no longer let me eat lunch with him.  Heartbreaking....

Easter Weekend

I didn't get to see much of the older boys this weekend.  They had a birthday sleepover at a friends house on Friday and they all went to Urban Air to continue the celebration on Saturday afternoon.

M and I took Mark to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.  I haven't been to one in ages and can't believe how busy and crowded it was.

Mark played with his bulldozer to pass the time.

And we took a selfie...

We went to pick up birthday gift at Target Saturday morning and Mark fell in love with this helmet.

We had our annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt Saturday afternoon.  Mark went for the very first time and had so much fun! There were pony rides, egg hunts and lots of farm animals. And we couldn't ask for better weather.

 Mark and his buddy, Tristan.

His first pony ride.  I think he liked it, but was a little nervous....

There was a petting zoo and Mark was in hog heaven - literally.

Even Matthew joined in not the fun. Michael decided to stay home because he thought he was too old for these things.

Mark loves to playing with the older kiddos because they give him all the attention.

We didn't do much on Sunday.  It rained so I didn't do an egg hunt in our yard as planned.  Michael was a little upset about it.  Then the Gs came over with their Easter goodies and all was forgiven.

M went to the garage and discovered a dog in there.  We let him wander off, but then felt bad and took him in, fed him and he spent the night in our yard.

We are going to try to find his owner and keep him for a couple of days.  Then we are going to have to call animal control if no body claims him, which is going to be a bummer because he's such a sweet dog.

Easter Egg Hunt & Other Happenings

I've been dropping the ball on the What We Did post.  I might pick it up again, but no promises.  In the meantime, here's a little update on what's been happening.

Last Friday, Michael had a little get-together with his neighborhood friends to celebrate his twelfth birthday instead of having a big birthday party like we normally do.

M and I dropped them off at Urban Air for a couple of hours to play.  Then I picked them up a couple of hours later, came back to our house for pizza, and a couple of them spent the night.

Mark is in love with the alien from "Home" since the first time he saw the trailer for the movie like 2 months ago.  The movie finally came out last Friday and on Saturday, we all went to see it.  It was super cute and Mark loved it! It was his first movies to see in the theater that he actually watched without falling asleep.  Not sure what he loved more - the soda and popcorn or the actual movie....

Then that evening, we went to dinner at Kobeya with the Gs to celebrate Michael's birthday, again.  I didn't get any pictures.  After dinner, we came home and had cake.

Mark had an Easter Egg Hunt/Party with his little playgroup buddies yesterday and he was on fire!  He ran around the whole time looking for eggs. Intense was an understatement.  I loved watching him.  It was a good thing that we put a limit on how many eggs he take because he would have fought for all of them...

Just something random...We were watching TV a few days ago and Mark suddenly got up and told me he would be right back.  I heard him go into the freezer and when he came back, he had an ice pack and a kitchen towel.  I asked him what he was doing.

He told me his butt hurts and he needed to ice it.  Just like Daddy did when his back hurt.  Love this kid.
