What We Did - Week 43

Day 296 - Thur.
He was playing blocks and I asked him to smile for the camera.  He said,"No pictures, please."

Day 297 -  Fri.
Dragon Pride assembly at Matthew's school.  He looked thrilled.

Then we met up with some friends for a playdate at Homestead Farm.  So fun!

Day 298 - Sat.
M took Michael to an early soccer game and both boys were still sleeping.  I woke up early and enjoyed the quiet.  I painted my nails, had a cup of coffee and looked through the new Pottery Barn catalogue.  Bliss.

Because M had field marshall duty, Michael got dropped off from the game by one of his teammate's mom.  Then JT got picked up by our neighbor for his football game so me and my boys went to lunch.

Michael wouldn't participate in a selfie.  I snuck in a picture while he wasn't looking.

We went on a walk around our neighborhood lake.

Day 299 - Sun.

A nice Sunday evening baseball game.  And he got the game ball.  A nice way to end a nice weekend.

Day 300 - Mon.
We went to Grapevine Mills because he wanted to ride "the round-a-bout" (his version of the carousel).  But before we got to that, this happened so I walked around for a couple of hours and shopped.

He woke up in the car and said he didn't get to ride the round-a-bout. I fibbed and said he did.  He just didn't remember because he fell asleep.  He believed me.  Meltdown averted.

And I got these in the mail from my awesome parents.  These are from their tree and they are the best persimmons ever.

Day 301 - Tue.
We met some friends at the Chick-Fil-A for some lunch, social time for the mommies and play time for the kiddos.

To get ready for his Math test on Wed., I took Michael to the Corner Bakery after I picked him up from trumpet lesson so we can study. It was so much better for him than studying at home.  No distractions - and he got a treat.

Day 302 - Wed.
We spent most of our day working the Spirit Shop.  I hadn't intended to stay the whole 4 hours, but Mark was behaving so well and we were short-staffed so I stayed.  Mark did so well and kept himself entertained.

We went and picked up Sonic for lunch.  he got these 3-D glasses and said that these were perfect because he can wear these in the car to block out the sun. He's so awesome!

It's still too hot to actually dress for fall, but the mornings are cool enough to pretend like it is.  Here are some outfits from last week that I'd like to share.

The Weekend

We had some summer weather this weekend and I'm not sure I like it.  I'm still waiting for the fall weather.  Hello? It's almost November and it's still 90 degrees?

Anyway, we had a very laid back weekend.  One of Matthew's friends stayed with us this weekend so his parents can go to Parents' Weekend at their older son's college.  They had a lot of fun together.

Michael had an early morning soccer game.  M had field marshall duty he stayed at the soccer fields until about 4pm.  I'm sure it was a very long day for him. Michael got dropped off by  Quinn's mom after the game.

JT had a football game, but our neighbor across the street took him.  I took the boys to lunch. Michael is at the stage where he does not like taking pictures and get's grumpy when I tell him to smile.

He only smiles if he doesn't know I'm taking his picture.

When we got home from lunch we went on a little walk around our lake.  It was such a beautiful day.

We needed a bit of rest afterwards.  Mark feel asleep.

That evening we went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. JT learned how to use the chopsticks!

The boys played with friends all morning.  Then we went to Matthew's baseball game where he had a great hit and got the game ball.

It was a good weekend!

Homestead Farm

Mark and I took a little trip to Homestead Farm Friday to meet up with Jaxson and Michelle.

It was a pretty neat little place.  It's a mall farm and if the bigger boys were with us, they would have been bored in 5 minutes, but it was great for Mark and Jaxson.  They ran around the "pumpkin patch," played in the corn pit, played on the tractor. and we went on a little hay ride.

Then we stopped by at Chick-fil-a for lunch and the little guys played on the playground. One of the bigger boys went over to a wheel-y thing that Mark was playing with and tried to take it away from him.  Mark stood his ground and said, "you can help me turn the wheel and when I'm done with it, you can have it." I'm so proud of him for using his words!

We couldn't get both of them to look at the camera and smile at the same time.  This was one of the better pictures.

He loved playing in the corn pit.

What We Did - Week 40

Day 289 - Thurs.
Matthew stayed after school for his Dragon Pride project.

Michael had his first band performance at his Fall Preview.

Day 290 - Fri.
We met up with Matthew and his class for his 4th grade field trip

And hung out in the evening

Day 291 - Sat.
Beautiful day for a baseball game and for a little play time with his sassy friends.

Day 292 - Sun.
Trash day.

Day 293 - Mon.
We went to a Halloween party

It was too beautiful not to be outside so we went for a walk around the lake and stopped to play for a little bit.

Day 29490o - Tue.
Got to play with play doh for the first time! He was in heaven.

Day 295 - Wed.
We had some cuddle time before we started our very busy day.
