What We Did - Week 21

Still not back on the picture wagon.  The pickings are slim this week. I'm just trying to get everything together before we leave for 2 weeks!

Day 148 - Thur.
I didn't have any picture of today and I'm pretty sure we didn't do much except for our daily chores. Oh, and I had a meeting with my spirit girls and our vendor to go over shirt designs for spirit shop next year. Mark had a great time at the Gs while I was at the meeting.

Day 149 - Fri.
Mike, Corie, Dylan and Baby Cali stopped for for literally a few hours on their way to Atlanta.  We met up with them and the Gs for dinner. Mark really enjoyed his dessert. And I enjoyed meeting the Cali - she's such a happy baby girl!

Day 150 - Sat.
The boys went to spend the night at a friend's house so we had a very quiet night.  I found this picture that Michael took at the sleepover.

Day 151- Sun.
Mark loves to put his floor puzzles together. The fire truck puzzle he's playing with?  We've had it since Matthew was 2.

Day 152 - Mon.
Happy Memorial Day! I saw the boys for about 2 hours in the morning before they left to play with their buddies all day.  They went to our neighborhood lake for some fishing fun.  This is a random picture that Michael took of their modes of transportation all day.

Day 153 - Tue.
I had another spirit shop meeting and decided to take Mark with me.  We met up at s Starbucks.  He was SO good.  He just hung out on the little sofa they had there and played with my iPhone for an hour and a half. No picture today :-(

Day 154 - Wed.
A little morning snuggle.

What We Did - Week 20

OK, so I'm starting to fall behind on this again, but I'm hoping to get back on the wagon.

Day 141 - Thur.
I dropped Mark off at the Gs and had a 2 1/2 hour meeting with a vendor to go over what we want to order for next year.  No picture.

Day 142 - Fri.
Matthew had his baseball playoff game.  It was suppose to have been on Wednesday, but got cancelled because of the muddy field.

Day 143 - Sat.
It was such a beautiful day.  The boys played outside most of the day.  Mark say his brothers playing baseball outside and wanted to join in on the fun.  "I just want to play baseball," is what he tells me.

This is the one sport that Matty really likes to play

Day 144 - Sun.
Another perfect day.  We walked over to Dunkin' Donuts and then spent most of our day on the patio. Mark built himself a little "castle" on our rug and watched his "PBSKid.org" shows (that's what he calls the app) on M's iPhone.
Day 145 - Mon.
We went to get a much-needed carwash.  Mark always loves going to the dealership for a carwash - he gets to drink the "lemon juice" and play in the playroom.

Day 146 - Tues.
Last week of a full school week! Seven days of school left for this boy and his brother.

Day 147 - Wed.
I didn't feel like packing a lunch this morning (and we were out of some lunch essentials) so I dropped off lunch for my boys.

These little guys crack me up!

First Major Meltdown

Yesterday, Mark and I went to the Asian market to get some Asian food essentials. We picked up some treats called Yan-Yan. It's basically a cookie stick that with some flavored dipping cream.  The boys like chocolate and strawberry.  I think you can find these at Target nowadays, but they are a little more expensive.

So anyway, we came home with some and Mark wanted to have some right when we got home.  When I told him he had to have his lunch first, he went into a tailspin.  The tears started flowing, then the screams.  He tried to get into the pantry.  I held the door closed and he started screaming for me to go away.

Then he walked over to the eating area and buried his face into the rug and screaming, "I want yan-yan!  Please, I just want yan-yan!"  I didn't know whether to cry or laugh.

This went on for about 10 minutes.  I went and sat down with my lunch and he finally came over and ate with me.  I felt like I won the biggest war ever. But then I felt really bad because he was hiccuping for the next 10 minutes from all that crying. My poor little baby!

Carwash, Cupcakes and Castle

Mark and I started our week off with a much-needed carwash.  He loves to go wish me to get a carwash as long as he's not in the car while it's being washed.  We tried that awhile ago.  I think we were on our way to San Antonio last year and we made the mistake of going through a car wash.  He screamed the whole time.  The "get me the heck our of here-I'm so angry with you for making me go through this scream.  He was a little over one.  We've never been through the carwash with him again because it was so horrifying for him.

Now I just go to our dealership and drop off the car.  Mark gets to play and drink "lemon juice."

Then we headed off Grapevine Mills because I had to exchange something at the Gap Outlet.  We had to stop and ride the little carousel, of course.

There's a little gourmet cupcake place that opened up and I've been wanting to try it so we stopped by and got a little treat.  I was disappointed with my cupcake - I definitely prefer Kara's Cupcake, but Mark had himself a good ole' time.

The place had a little play kitchen with pretend cupcakes.  Needless to say, it was very difficult to get him out of there.  But he was so cute pretending to bake, frost, serve, eat the little cupcakes.  Then he pretended to clean up and washed the plates in the sink.  So adorable!!!

When we got home, he wanted to build a "castle" on the floor.  He sat in his little castle eating his apples while watching his show.

Then Matthew came home from school and had rice with chicken and broccoli for his snack. He's such a clown!

Weekend Wrap-up

Wow - I wish the weather would stay like this for a lot longer, but I know it won't.  This weekend was so beautiful!  I call it California weather.  We didn't have much this weekend.

Matthew had a playoff game on Friday.  They lost so that was the last game of the Spring season and probably his last season in Coach pitch baseball.  On to bigger things.  M was very sad because he enjoyed pitching so much. He probably will not get to pitch again until Mark starts playing.  That will be in another 3 years! Haha...

Our team lost because they had a really slow start.  They made a run for it towards the end, but it was a little too late.  It was an exciting game, nevertheless. So proud of these boys.  They never get down when they lose.

On Saturday, Michael had a couple of scrimmages early in the morning.  They won both games and M said Michael did really well.  Then we spent the rest of the day at home - not doing much. The boys played outside all afternoon.

It was pretty much the same on Sunday.  I boys and I walked to Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast.  It was such a nice walk.  When we got back, the boys played with their friends the rest of the day and we just enjoyed the nice weather out on the patio.

What We Did - Week 19

Day 134 - Thur.
It was Teacher Appreciation Week all week.  As Party Coordinator I was in charge of getting Matthew's teacher a class gift so I went with a Target gift card.  I was very proud of my gift card holder.

Day 135 - Fri.
Michael's school had a Muffins with Mom event.  Here is with his best bud, Robert.  The little guy is Robert's brother - Isn't he adorable?  Why does my 11-year old look smaller than a 4-year-old?

Day 136 - Sat.
Matty hit his 1st homerun! This was right after his hit. So proud of this little man.

Day 137 - Sun.
Happy Mother's Day!  This was the card that Michael made for me. I love it!

Day 138 - Mon.
No picture today.  We went and had lunch with Matthew and dropped off lunch for Michael today.

Day 139 - Tue.
Michael went on his big field trip to Fossil Rim in Glen Rose (2 hours away).  He most excited about taking  a charter bus there.  The first time he's ever been on a charter bus. He was also very excited about a selfie he took with an ostrich.

Day 140 - Wed.
Today was laundry catch-up day and we got a few things off my to-do list. Michael had practice and Matthew was suppose to have a playoff game, but the game was cancelled because the fields were still wet and muddy.  M will be glad it was postponed because he was bummed when he realized he'd miss the game.
